Web analytics differs from Business Intelligence which is generally focused on internal company data, e.g., salaries, costs of components, shipping routes.
Web analytics focuses on digital behaviors across a company’s advertising platforms (Google, Facebook, Baidu, Terra) and a company’s desktop site, mobile site and mobile apps.
An Analyst uses data from these sources to identify performance and business results.
